Case Study: Amelia homepage vignettes

Amelia is an industry leading conversational AI product in a rapidly growing enterprise space, but the company has long struggled to make their product simple enough to understand.

The problem?

this is how they were used to talking about their product

we needed to build a simple visual language to communicate the brand’s core concepts

That meant creating low fidelity vector mockups of ideas and products related to the Amelia ecosystem. I used our UI as a reference to inform the look and feel of the assets, but reduced the amount of information that’s exposed to make it easier to understand at a glance.

we were asked to distill the messaging to just four easy to grasp vignettes under 60 seconds each

That meant working with our subject matter experts and writers in an iterative process. We needed to make sure to we captured all the most important points and that we weren’t leaving out critical details in the interest of brevity.

we crafted four scripts and moved to storyboarding to explore these concepts visually

Next I created a reference video for the team to follow

and guided our team in the creation of the other three

now they live happily on the homepage, helping potential customers understand what the product is all about without the 40 minute powerpoint presentation.
